The West Riding Masonic Care And Support Fund was launched in 2023 and replaces CHOICES which has, to date assisted around 600 of our members or their dependents, in times of need.

The Team consists of 2 Administrators; 2 Care & Support Officers, Sharon Mees, Elaine Dunwell, Welfare Officer, Claire Beaumont and Telephone Befriending Officer Anne Harrison; supported by the Provincial Almoner and the Mark Mason’s Provincial Almoner.

If you are a member of this Province, you have access to this unique facility, never be afraid to use it.

Total confidentiality is paramount to our work, access is through your Lodge Almoner, the free telephone helpline 0344 902 02 20  or helpline@wrprovince.com We aim to respond within 24 hours whenever possible.

At our weekly Team meetings, we receive reports from our Care and Support staff and the two Almoners. A discussion then takes place to see how we can best support the member or his dependants. Needs vary enormously, it may be an Emergency Financial Grant, (note these are not ‘means tested’); it might be to fit hand and grab rails to assist mobility, or a bath to shower conversion; this would be covered by a Home Improvement Application. Our specialist contractors have an in-depth knowledge and experience of what may be required in these situations.

Our Care & Support staff are the eyes and ears of the team, they make regular calls on our clients to monitor ever-changing situations and have extensive experience in providing support in all different scenarios.

The team would like to think that if any member, or his family, have a need, they have the ability to support and help them with that need.

The application process is simple and straightforward.
