Thornton le Dale Annual Gala and Classic Car Show

Peter Osler has very kindly offered to arrange the entries for this event for any Classics on the Square members who would like to attend, as he did last year. Many thanks once again to Peter for arranging this.
 
Peter has also mentioned the “Mathewsons Live” 2026 car event at the Great Yorkshire Showground at Harrogate, which will be on the weekend of Saturday 22^nd and Sunday 23^rd August 2026, and has kindly offered to co-ordinate the entries for this event also if there is sufficient interest. The cost is only £10 per vehicle per day which includes the driver and one passenger, but as it is very popular and the numbers are limited we would need to book early. Could any members who are interested therefore please let me know ASAP.

 
Classics on the Square Summer Run
Thursday 16^th July 2026

A scenic run through the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland organised by John and Pat Broadhead, starting from a morning rendezvous in the Skipton area for tea/coffee and biscuits and where route instructions will be given out, and ending at the Bridge House Farm Tearooms at Wray where lunch can be purchased. The organiser at Wray will be the WM of Wenning Lodge, and there will also be an informal classic car meet there that afternoon.

 
Classics on the Square Weekend Away 2026

The Old Lodge is a 17^th century Tudor mansion that stands in nearly 3 acres of gardens at the edge of the historic market town of Malton, North Yorkshire. It is close to Dalby Forest and Castle Howard, and is also well located for visiting the North Yorkshire Moors and coast. We will be staying there for two nights, arriving on Saturday 5^th and leaving on Monday 7^th September 2026. Our Chairman John Broadhead has visited the hotel and has arranged a special price for the Classics on the Square Weekend.
