The Masonic Light Programme promotes and explains the history, morals and philosophical issues of masonic symbolism. It uses information on the Solomon UGLE online repository to inform and guide Brethren after their Initiation, and subsequently as they progress in the craft, to develop as men.
The Programme is normally delivered in each Area by a dedicated team who promote learning and development.
Prior to the Covid pandemic they arranged presentations explaining the three Craft degrees and also encouraged the delivery of light nuggets.
Light nuggets are short five – ten minute items used to provoke interest, discussion, and learning which can be read in Lodge, at rehearsal, or even at Festive Board.
The Masonic Light presentations concentrate on the three craft degrees using the material on Solomon website, and are promoted via this website, posters, social media, and through local Light Blue Clubs.
During the Covid pandemic these presentations, as well as others of masonic interest, have been delivered online monthly by the Provincial Webinar Team.
Following the resumption of masonic meetings the details of the Masonic Light presentations in each area will again be found by contacting the Area Lead, speaking with your Lodge mentor and looking for posters in your local Masonic Hall. Information about lectures outside of your area but within the Province will also be posted on this website, and the YWR Facebook page.
